The NAIC welcomed nine foreign regulators to the International Fellows Program on Oct. 3. Countries represented this fall were Bermuda, China, India, Saudi Arabia, Thailand and Taiwan. Host jurisdictions were California, Georgia, Hawaii, Louisiana, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Texas. The NAIC developed the program in 2004 to advance working relationships with foreign market regulators, emphasizing the exchange of regulatory techniques and technology. To date, 36 U.S. jurisdictions have hosted more than 260 participants from 32 countries.
