The NAIC's Designation Program marks its 10th anniversary this year. The Designation Advisory Board members celebrated the occasion on Friday with designation program participants and during the NAIC's Fall 2016 National Meeting.
Designed to provide state insurance regulators with an opportunity for professional growth, the NAIC-sponsored professional designation program recognizes expertise in insurance regulation. Three levels of designations are available: Associate Professional in Insurance Regulation (APIR), Professional in Insurance Regulation (PIR) and Senior Professional in Insurance Regulation (SPIR).
Since its inception in 2006, the Designation Program has helped 509 individuals earn more than 673 designations.
