Insure U Goes to High School with Insurance Education
The NAIC is focusing on reaching teen drivers — a key consumer audience — about the importance of auto insurance. With help from the Pennsylvania Insurance Department, the NAIC launched Insurance 101 for Teen Drivers — an insurance education module for high school teachers to use in their classrooms.
The insurance module is an interactive presentation that helps teachers demonstrate how bad driving decisions impact auto insurance costs. Presentation materials include an animated PowerPoint®, an auto insurance terms handout, a worksheet for use during the game and a combined multiple-choice and fill-in-the-blank quiz.
The Insure U financial literacy program has pulled in nearly 1 million impressions this year. The NAIC will continue focusing on financial literacy and reaching educators this year as a sponsor of Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy.
